WASTEWATER
Owen and White has been involved in conceptualizing, planning, financing, and designing wastewater systems since its inception over 50 years ago.
We’ve helped to establish regional systems, develop bond programs to finance construction, design new plants and extensively renovate others. For example, Owen and White designed the original Gulfport Treatment Plant with a peak capacity in excess of 43 MGD, and permit limits with very stringent limits for ammonia and dissolved oxygen.
More recently, Owen and White, Inc. levered its strength in hydraulic modeling to design wastewater pump stations of up to 39 MGD, force mains up to 48” in diameter, and a 20 million gallon equalization basin for the City of Baton Rouge.
Owen and White, Inc. also provides wastewater design services to smaller communities with needs that are on a smaller scale but with similar problems of rainwater intrusion, aging equipment, and stringent discharge permit limits. Projects recently completed include pump station upgrades, gravity sewer point repairs, lagoon upgrades and NPDES permit renewals.
